A very Royal weekend with Iconic Luxury Hotels

Posted on by Abbie Coombes

As expected there is somewhat of a buzz around the 19th May, and we are all ramming our brains to think of the most fitting way to celebrate the big day (and that’s just the FA Cup!) All joking aside, the marriage of Prince Harry and Ms Markle will see for many of us get out those Union Jack flags, tiaras and of course, some bubbly! But if you’re stuck for ideas, fortunately, we can recommend one of the best ways to celebrate the royal wedding in style. The Iconic Luxury Hotel group will be hosting a vast array of royal themed events over the course of the royal wedding weekend, at two of their spectacular hotels. The Chewton Glen Hotel & Spa, and 11 Cadogan Gardens Hotel, each with a reputation for outstanding customer service and luxurious accommodation, will provide the perfect setting to toast to the newlyweds, and here’s why…

Chewton Glen Hotel, Hampshire.

Another trio of royal wedding celebrations will be taking place at a fellow property in the Iconic Luxury Hotel group. The Chewton Glen is again, a five-star hotel, but situated in the New Forest National Park, and in close proximity to the coast. There are 72 lavish bedrooms, 14 tree-house suits and even a nine-hole golf course.

With Chewton Glen Hotel, a two-night luxurious stay in one of their stunning Junior Suites is on the cards. Upon arrival on 18th May, guests can enjoy a champagne afternoon tea for two, as well as a three-course dinner with a menu that has been inspired by the culinary expertise of James Martin.

When the big day arrives on 19th May, Chewton Glen will be providing guests with the opportunity to watch every bit of the wedding’s action on a big screen in the Morning Room or Lake suite; attendees can indulge in a royal wedding themed menu, and sip on some very moreish Royal Cocktails. Tickets for the royal wedding celebrations cost £95 for adults and £55 for those aged 6-12 years.

Following the royal marriage, guests can enjoy full pamper treatment in the award-winning spa at the hotel; a manicure and pedicure for her, and a massage for him. Prices for the ‘Regal Weekend’ at this hotel start from £1,065 per person and those furry friends of yours are more than welcome to stay if you book in to a Treehouse Suite.

Similar to Cliveden House Hotel, Chewton Glen Hotel will be offering some more of that Royal treatment in the form of a ‘Natura Bissé Luxury Spa Day’, throughout the duration of May. This £220- £240 package includes a breakfast at the Pool Bar on arrival, a 60 minute Natura Bissé Diamond Energy facial, buffet lunch with bubbly, full use of the spa’s award-winning facilities, and a Natura Bissé gift set as a memento of the day.

11 Cadogan Gardens Hotel, Chelsea.

11 Cadogan Gardens, also referred to as the ‘best kept secret in Chelsea’, will be hosting a Regal Afternoon Tea on 19th May between the hours of 2pm-5pm. Having watched the royal marriage at 12pm, this champagne afternoon tea is a great way to toast to the happy couple.

The tea, which can be enjoyed either in the lounge by the fire, or if the weather stays as it is, on the hotel’s garden terrace, includes a Pimms on arrival, half a bottle of bubbly per person, finger sandwiches, scones and pastries. There is quite frankly, no better way to celebrate the big day!
