Cash & Rocket 2015: 4 cities, 35 supercars, 70 influential women

In three days’ time, 70 women of influence, including Jodie Kidd, Selita Ebanks and Michelle Rodriguez, will set off from London to Cannes, via Paris and Milan, in a supercar convoy of Aston Martins and Ferraris, all in the name of charity

Cash & Rocket enters its fourth year on the road this May, and it appears we are only seeing the beginning of the campaign’s capabilities. With a growing number of drivers behind the tour each year, and more than £1,300,000 raised in 2014 for their three charity partners, Oafrica, Shine on Sierra Leone and Sumbandila, the tour is an inspirational and innovative campaign that has one goal: to make a difference to the lives of many through the luxury brands industry.

Seventy influential women from the worlds of fashion, media, music, art, entertainment and business will launch the event on Friday 15 May at 9am from under the London Eye. Arriving via a pillarbox-red London bus, the Cash & Rocket entourage will host the opening of the campaign, along with a selection of 20 red supercars, sponsored by the tour’s partners including, Valentino, Aston Martin, McArthur Glen, Maserati, Samsung and the Dorchester Collection.

Behind the wheel of 35 red Aston Martins and Ferraris, this year’s all-star drivers include the likes of Victoria’a Secret Angel Selita Ebanks, Chloe Green, Jodie Kidd, Elena Perminova, Arizona Muse and Hollywood star Michelle Rodriguez.

“It has taken a year to bring these women together and to organise this event,” Brangstrup comments. “I cannot think of a better place to kick off the 2015 tour than the unique location that is the Coca-Cola London Eye.”

In celebration of the tour, Valentino design directors Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli are partnering with Aston Martin to create a unique Vanquish sports car through its Q by Aston Martin bespoke service. 

The exclusive design features Valentino Camouflage and is further embellished with the brand’s iconic studs. The car will be auctioned during the Cash & Rocket opening Gala Dinner on Thursday 14 May in London, with proceeds donated to the charities involved.

The drivers depart from London on Saturday 16 May, seeking to raise money for their three charity partners.
