Exclusive champagne House Perrier-Jouët will launch their new, seasonal limited-edition prestige cuvée, Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque Autumn Edition 2005, which is inspired by the charm and vivacity of the autumn months.
Autumn is a season of elegant contrasts, tints of red and orange, and stunning changes in nature’s colours, and Hervé Deschamps, Perrier-Jouët Cellar Master, has always particularly enjoyed this period. He claims: “We gather in the harvest of fruit and start to dream…” In 2005, this dream inspired him to create a cuvée whose harmonious, yet astonishing qualities echo the grace of autumn.
“In Autumn, the vineyards of Champagne form a patchwork of colours that vary with each grape variety: the plots of Chardonnay shine golden yellow whereas the Pinot parcels are radiant with reds and browns”, Deschamps continues. “Autumn in the vineyards brings the last burst of beauty before the uniform colours of winter arrive.”
The delightful champagne is perfect for all occasions, from a romantic tête-à-tête; gatherings with friends, or spontaneous fun. It’s voluptuousness and vitality means it pairs perfectly with lots of dishes, from the freshness of raw fish or caviar to the refinement of Japanese beef or the sweetness of chocolate dessert with a coulis of red berries. The nose reveals vivacious scents of pomegranate, redcurrant, persimmon and citrus fruit, enveloped by fragrant rose. Acidulate hints in the enticing and savoury attack cede to a vibrant, supple softness, leading to wonderful acidity in the finish.
Perrier-Jouët has always celebrated nature, from the exceptional vineyards whose riches it has transformed for more than two centuries to the anemones that bloom on the bottles of the Belle Epoque cuvée. The famous spray of white flowers has become the emblem of a champagne house passionately devoted to beauty, and the Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque Autumn Edition 2005 is further proof of this passion.
