It seems we've all caught a spot of that Royal fever, and it's been flaring up in these last few days ahead of Ms Markle's and Prince Harry's wedding. Perhaps the only cure is to revel in it; lift that glass of champagne, indulge in those homemade jam pennies and enjoy an experience, quite simply, fit for a King or Queen. Fortunately, The Rubens at the Palace and The Milestone Hotel & Residences, both in close proximity to Royal palaces, provide the perfect setting to do just that!
See for yourself what these two spectacular London hotels have to offer...
The Rubens at the Palace
The Rubens at the Palace is situated directly opposite the Royal Mews of Buckingham Palace and has ample Royal themed experiences to be enjoyed by guests; from Royal Rooms, to fine dining experiences. This luxury hotel has gained a reputation for being able to maintain the splendour of architecture and interior designs of past decades, alongside the presence of those much desired modern comforts. The hotel, has in fact, recently undergone a full refurbishment including all the bedrooms, restaurants and bars.
From 18th-19th May, The Rubens at the Palace will be hosting a Royal Afternoon Tea with Champagne in The Palace Lounge. From 12.00pm to 5.00pm, guests can enjoy a vegan, vegetarian, gluten, or a more conventional, afternoon tea. Queens Jammy Dodger Biscuits, a Royal Jubilee blend of tea and English Rose Macaroons are just some of the delectable treats that will feature on the menu. Some of the Queen's and Prince Phillip's favourite beverages can also be enjoyed, including Gin and Dubonnet and the English bitter, Boddingtons. You can toast to the Royal couple overlooking Buckingham Palace.
The hotel has lavish Royal Rooms for those who simply can't get enough of the British monarchy. Each of the room's designs are intended to mirror a particular style of one of the Royals, whilst a portrait of the individual is proudly displayed within it. This includes, Queen Elizabeth II, Princes Phillip and Charles, Princess Diana and even, Princes William and Harry. The Royal double rooms at this hotel are priced from £300 per room, per night.
In addition to this, you can taste produce from the Queen's butcher at The English Grill; a fine dining brasserie-style restaurant in the hotel. All of the dishes available to devour in the restaurant are created with produce sourced both locally, and from high quality suppliers, including meats from Aubrey Allen who does in fact hold a Royal Warrant. As such, guests can be expected to enjoy both the high standards of food, and service that are fit for the Queen. Polished silver and tail coated waiters will also be on the cards.

The Milestone Hotel & Residences
The Milestone Hotel & Residences, part of the Leading Hotels of the World, will also be revelling in royal fever. The Milestone hotel is located directly opposite Kensington Palace, and many of the rooms overlook the palace gardens.
The afternoon tea at The Milestone Hotel & Residences caters for those aspiring little Princes and Princesses who quite rightly, also deserve a taste for the Royal way of living. For those children aged 12 and under, the hotel gives them the opportunity to decorate their very own cupcakes, which are served alongside some rather scrumptious finger sandwiches, scones, pastries and hot chocolate (okay, so not quite silver service, but I am sure the children won't mind!) The grounds of Kensington Palace can be admired whilst the little ones tuck in.
The Milestone Hotel & Residences has a brand new 'Meghan' Grand Master Suite, which has only recently been beautifully re-designed. In the suite, there is an impressive white marble bathroom, artwork by Francois Gangemi and a custom made Murano chandelier. It is an entirely lavish affair.
Whilst the focus is on the Royal couple, I am sure the wedding bells will not only be chiming for them this year. The Milestone Hotel has recently introduced a brand new Royal Kensington Wedding package, so that your wedding could be equally as lavish and spectacular as Harry and Meghan's. The package includes the option of a civil marriage ceremony in The Oratory, the hotel's private chapel', and other additions such as the hotel's private chauffeur driven Bentley for that essential pre-wedding shopping trip to Kensington or Knightsbridge. If so desired, the bride can also receive a full pampering experience with the hotel's beauty therapist, Fiona Keane to ensure one feels completely relaxed ahead of the big day.
For more information on these experiences, visit www.milestone.com or call 02079171000.
The Rubens at the Palace and The Milestone Hotel & Residences are both part of the prestigious Red Carnation Hotel Collection, renowned for ensuring that all guests receive a royal welcome and not just the royal family.
