For a fifth consecutive year, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has produced a record number of sales, selling more than 4,000 cars globally in 2014. Breaking its previous year’s record and more than quadrupling customer transactions since 2009, Rolls-Royce’s personalised bespoke commissions have also reached their highest-ever figure.
Last year was nothing short of spectacular for British luxury champion, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. With worldwide sales up 12% in 2014 and a particularly impressive amount of growth in Asia, the marque today has reported its highest sales in Rolls-Royce’s 111-year history.
Despite the brand’s strong connections to Britain, North America still remains its most substantial market, with the United Kingdom coming in as the fourth highest. Emerging luxury markets, such as Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Vietnam, also showed a degree of promise in 2014.
“The result confirms that our strategy of balanced, sustainable and profitable growth is delivering and that Rolls-Royce remains the world’s leading luxury goods brand,” says Chief Executive Officer, Torsten Müller-Ötvös. “This extraordinary success has been built on strong foundations: pinnacle products, dedicated people and a commitment to ensuring a balanced global sales picture.”
Rolls-Royce has also confirmed the opening of its new Technology and Logistic Centre at Bognor Regis in 2016. Currently under construction, and not far the iconic Goodwood headquarters, the centre will employ around 200 new and existing experts to add to the extraordinary Rolls-Royce workforce.
