The Healthy Cocktail

Cocktail drinking doesn't have to leave you feeling a little worse for wear the next day, in fact, we've got some wonderfully healthy cocktail recipes that will leave you feeling cleansed and rejuvenated. 

The warmer weather lifts our spirits and perhaps our penchant for a little more alcohol and some finer dining - it might leave us feeling like we've overindulged somewhat. Healthy boosts to our systems are getting easier and easier to come by, and although our busy lives shouldn't compromise our quest for good health, sadly, they do.

Wherever you are in your well-body routine, a healthy cocktail can do a variety of things to cleanse, boost and maintain your health. Post Workout Protein Berry Blast

Ingredients
1 cups frozen berries
1-2 tsp raw organic hemp protein powder
1 cup water
1 peeled orange
Add a few fresh mint leaves
1 tbsp I AM Energised
(Optional - top with 1 tbsp bee pollen)



Method
Add all ingredients to the blender and whiz whiz whiz for about 40 seconds. You won’t have a totally smooth consistency due to the berries and orange.

Naomi's TIP
You could also add a banana or avocado for a more creamy consistency and for sweetness add raw honey or raw agave.
For a real treat add a teaspoon of carob for a sinless chocolate fix.

Clean Me Green 

Ingredients
1 cup organic apple juice
1 small banana
1 cube frozen spinach
1/2 cup frozen pineapple
1 tbs milled or whole flaxseed
1 tbs goji berries
1 tbs I AM Lean 


Method
Pop all the ingredients into a high-speed blender then blend until completely smooth.

Pour, and drink yourself Cleansed with a big smile!

Naomi's TIP
If you are using fresh spinach and pineapple add in 1/2 a cup of ice as warm greens aren’t so tasty!


Naomi's Kitchen blends use plant-based ingredients that are kosher and suitable for vegans and vegetarians; plus, they're free from dairy, soy, whey, artificial sweeteners, fillers, and synthetic vitamins and minerals.

 

Superfood Power Smoothie

Ingredients
1/2 frozen banana
2 medjool dates – pitted
1 cup non-dairy milk (soya, almond, coconut, rice)
1 tbs chia seeds
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1 tbs tahini
1 tbs cacao nibs
1 tbsp I AM Beautiful
pinch of Himalayan salt


Method
Add all the ingredients to a high-speed blender and whizz until totally smooth.

Naomi's TIP
Add in some ice if you want a cooler smoothie.
To freeze your bananas remember to peel them first when they are at the perfect ripeness and store sealed in a sealable freezer bag.
You can swap out the tahini for almond butter and the cacao nibs for almonds
(they are great for the texture).
