Famous faces, floral fountains and flower feasts at Chelsea

In a troupe of tradition, our favourite garden gems did once again not disappoint, blooming with famous faces, floral fountains and flower feasts!

From Dame Judi Dench, Joanna Lumley and Jennifer Saunders to The Queen and The Duchess of Cambridge, celebrity and culture collided against a backdrop of mesmerising beauty.  The Silk Road artisan garden gave us our colour fix, while fresh garden Mind Trap by Ian Price gave us simply stunning sculptures.

We particularly enjoyed the feel good garden ‘The Jeremy Vine Textured Garden’ led by Matt Keightley, contrasting bold geometric shapes with elegant planting to show perfect modernity.

Gold was the colour of choice this year to celebrate 50 years of Radio 2, with the Anneka Rice Colour Cutting garden giving us patchwork flowerbeds of delight. The immersion continued as did the exploring, with show garden ‘500 Years of Covent Garden’ by Lee Bestall taking us back to the time Covent Garden was an orchard, featuring a glorious apple tree nodding to its heritage.

Showing us details in the delicate Chelsea Flower Show definitely gave us something to smile about this year!
