Rolling towards Regatta, the summer spotlight shines upon Henley’s members clubs London once again. In all the expectancy of shock and spoilers, camaraderie lays in imminent wait as revellers head to the river. This year holds particular reason for revelry, however, with the return of legendary London establishment Chinawhite and their grade A headliner to accompany, DJ Pete Tong. With only the most exclusive and extravagant parties entertained by these veteran hosts, their fifth successive year at Henley promises, as always, to be something of a special showcase.
Officially partnering with Moet Champagne and Greenall’s Gin for the weekend, a ticket to one of Chinawhite’s fabulous all-day parties is the only way to splendour the Regatta in style. Accommodating a lucky 2,500 people, this glamorous encampment has been dazzling guests for years with its panoramic views from the enclosures riverside garden. This stunning setting is only further matched by unrivalled hospitality, catered for by Chinawhite with the feature of five different bars, a host of gourmet street food stands and pop-up retailers.
Pulled food will be the pit stop of choice at Chinawhite, with a classic menu of only the best-pulled meats and fish, with gluten free, dairy free and vegan menu options fully catered for also. Available for VIP ticket holders, upon request culinary wonders Cutter & Squidge will also offer an unmatched British afternoon tea service, meaning a visit in the direction of taste would be a wise gravitation in the Chinawhite enclosure indeed. The pop-up Salon is also set to return this year, boasting a bespoke beauty parlour in the heart of the Regatta. A team comprised of highly skilled hair and makeup artists with industry knowledge to boot, this pop-up beauty boost is on hand. Offering a premium service tailored to their clients’ exact requirements, a quick braid or full glam makeover is no mission for these revolutionists. As well as pampering and indulgence galore, Chinawhite has brought together some of London’s coolest and most sought-after brands, providing guests with an exclusive insight into new trends. These notable names include retro designer sunglasses brand Taylor Morris, the creation of London-based designers Hugo Taylor & Charlie Morris. With the look needing completing, La Marqueza Hats brings luxury on top with variations of the traditional Regatta dress. The Panama hat will be a classic option always in style, and now this year, in showcase.
With the glitterati flocking to Chinawhite’s London club and Henley enclosure for years previous, the clubs sparkling reputation will nothing but help to deliver another year of championed success. With Pete Tong in tow, one of Britain’s most recognised and renowned names in house music will set the tone of the weekend. For one weekend only, the atmosphere and excitement of Chinawhite travels upriver with the boats directly to Henley, to cause quite the commotion in the middle of the gorgeous English countryside.
