To welcome the arrival of their new beehives to the Lost Orchard at Keyneston Mill, Parterre are hosting an evening celebrating bees.

Come and hear bee-expert, Brigit Strawbridge, talk about the different kinds of bees and why they are so important to our planet  – not only in the pollination of scented plants!
The low hum of the honeybee on a balmy summers afternoon is as desirable for the senses as it is to spread lashings of honey onto hot buttered toast in the morning. The romantic notion of the journey from flower to pot is why honey, and more importantly, the art of beekeeping, is an industry that's stronger than it's ever been. Hear about some of the challenges that bees are facing and what we can do to help them.

Enjoy this thick, sweet liquid gold with some honey-inspired drinks and canapes and see Parterre's beehives in situ - if the weather is fine.

Thursday 24th May 2018 7.15pm for a 7.30m start.
