You don’t have to have a passion for supercars to enjoy Goodwood Revival; in fact, if fashions-of-old are your thing, then Revival, with its theatrical and sporting drama, is the place to be.
Goodwood holds a benchmark for quality, employing meticulous attention to detail. They showcase the most significant racing cars and motorcycles, and combined with some legendary drivers and riders from the past, as well as some of the sharpest young racing talents of today, the Revival weekend should be the highlight of every calendar.
Every September, Revival recreates the golden era of Goodwood motoring between 1948 and 1966, and the result is, as they quite rightly aspire to; ‘pure, unspoilt, unadulterated pleasure.’
Its Best Dressed Competition, judged by a panel of fashion experts, was as big a part of the Revival as the stunning 1956 Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith Extended Wheelbase taking centre place this year.
The car was first presented at the 1956 British International Motor Show at Earl’s Court, London, and is finished in black over red with a body by Freestone & Webb.
Rolls-Royce Motor Cars held significant presence throughout the weekend, recapturing the glamorous premises it had in London’s West End during the 1950s.
As one of the most famous brands in the world, Rolls-Royce just keep confirming their reputation for engineering excellence.
With such ease, they are continually embracing change and future demand, and with their very British heritage as a benchmark, you can rely on them to deliver on all their promises.
Rolls-Royce was also represented on the legendary Goodwood motor circuit itself with a handsome 1966 Rolls-Royce Phantom V Touring Limousine (PV 23 design).
Finished in ivory over black with body by coach-builder James Young, the car formed part of the Course Director’s entourage and conveyed invited guests in period luxury throughout the weekend.
A perfectly crafted, quintessentially English experience – always delivered with a twist.
